Between learning guitar, spanish and writing articles, schoolwork becomes both irrelevant and highly unproductive. Think of how much I’d know if I didn’t have to waste time at school.

Reasons I can’t wait for summer: cute fluffy dresses that make me feel like a magical fairy princess cupcake, bearing too much tanned skin, sun-dried wavy hair, natural highlights, jam sesh on guitar at the beach, pools, all day every day, bonfires, and watching the sunset, boys I don’t go to school with, going for aimless walks, smoothies, ice cream, iced lattes, floral patterns,
11 Reasons for it to be Summer right now
Man, oh man. We were so good. We used to cuddle up on the couch in your basement, head to shoulder, and watch those old black and white movies whose greatness nobody really understands, but I love to watch anyway because they give you that old Hollywood feel. They made me feel like I lived in a different era, where girls were ladies and some wore sweet pink while others wore garters and tassles and feathers. Their hair. Oh! The hair. If only big fluffy locks were still glamourous. You always thought I was crazy, the way my eyes locked on the screen and wouldn’t flinch until the credits rolled. I don’t blame you either, the moment you arm looped my waist and my hand found your leg, I was transfixed. I know now that your tolerance was merely patience, and that while I found myself all tangled up in the plot, you were itching to get out. I know now that we didn’t love those movies, only I did. I realize that, though you never mentioned you disinterest, you still manage to make me feel like the selfish one for never consulting you before I did anything. You remind me endlessly that my unhappiness is my fault, which it is. Happiness is a choice, isn’t it? But how can I be happy when I have you breathing down my neck all day long, having to gain your approval for every step I take.
Day by day, year by year, we are all changing, all the time. In just a moment, the course of your life can be altered; an accident, an update, a phone call, a curious glance. Nobody knows what the next hour will bring. What do you love doing? Because I’ve wasted an eternity trying to prepare myself for what comes next. Find out what you love and what you’re good at, and start doing it. Start now. Yes, it’s good to be prepared, and yes, it’s good to put thought into your future, but don’t forget that you live in the now. I’ve deleted most of my reblogged posts, except for a few precious ones that I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of entirely. All those pictures, quotes and ideas are great, but I have beautiful thoughts too. I am reclaiming this space as mine. No more fake pictures of the pretty girls with the long and wavy hair, picture-perfect wardrobe, and flawless faces. Life is not always picture-perfect. I wish for everyone to develop an appreciation for the perfect imperfections that life brings, the messy moments, the embarrassments, the frustrations. So here’s to clean slates, new beginnings, and fresh starts. Hey life, what are you waiting for? Bring it on.
Starting Fresh.
